In our efforts for water resilience on the farm, we tapped a side hill seep on May 12, 2018.
Over our few years here, Drake has noticed a wet spot in one of the lower pastures – even when the rest of the farm is dry. After some reading and a bit of preparation, he spent the day digging to find, concentrate and guide the water to a place where we can collect it and use it. Help arrived in the afternoon – just in time to fill in the trench and watch the water FLOW.
Now we’ll rig up the flow to a tank and use it to water animals. Fingers crossed!
